This hand forged kitchen knife features a blade with a "clip point" or "k-tip", which lowers the point to the cutting board. The blade is forged from Austrian made high carbon 1.2210 steel, clad with mild steel and pure nickel. This steel is heat treated to very high hardness, and the edge is very thin. It is purely for use in cutting vegetables and boneless meat and may fail if subject to abuse. Please see the section on this website on caring for your knife for further details.
The hexagonal handle is made from 3,000 year old bog oak.
