This is a smaller utility knife, known by some as a "petty". The blade is forged from Austrian high carbon 1.2210 steel clad with historic wrought iron. This steel is heat treated to very high hardness, and the edge is very thin. It is purely for use in cutting vegetables and boneless meat and may fail if subject to abuse. The hexagonal handle is made from 3,000 year old bog oak.
