This general purpose kitchen knife was formed by forging together a three layer billet; high carbon W2 steel for the cutting edge, with mild steel either side. The blades on this batch came out quite chunky. The handle is made from 5000 English bog oak.
This knife combines a high degree of functionality, combined with heaps of character. Due to the natural, untreated nature of both high carbon steel and the handle material, this knife will patinate and change over time. If left wet, dirty and/or disused, it may become tarnished or rusty. I make these knives to be used and loved. Please see the care and guarantee section of my website before purchase.
