(NB International postage has been delayed in recent years by Brexit, coronavirus, and other events outside of my control, and international orders may be subject to often very high import duties, so please bear that in mind when ordering.)!
This general purpose kitchen knife was formed by forging together a three layer billet; high carbon W2 steel for the cutting edge, with gnarly historic (19th century?) puddled iron either side. The handle is made from toasted reclaimed English oak.
This knife combines a high degree of functionality, combined with heaps of character. Due to the natural, untreated nature of the high carbon steel, the gnarly iron and the handle material, this knife will patinate and change over time. If left wet, dirty and/or disused, it may become tarnished or rusty. I make these knives to be used and loved. Please see the care and guarantee section of my website before purchase.
