The blade was forged from high carbon tool steel (52100), the hexagonal handle is made of 5000 year old English bog oak. The blade is very chunky, the spine being ca. 5mm above the heel, but tapering beautifully toward the tip, keeping it balanced and weighted slightly blade forward.
The blade is not stainless and must be cared for as outlined in the "care and guarantee" page on this website. The bog oak is similarly a natural material and requires basic maintenance as outlined in the "care and guarantee" page on this website.
The basic dimensions are as follows:
Blade length: ca. 220mm
Heel height : ca. 51mm
Handle length: ca. 130mm
